Resident Dog features our Be!

As Tonkin Liu’s honorary dog in residence, Be is accustomed to much attention from visitors to the studio. Her gentle nature combined with her elegant authority exudes a steady calm within the busy working environment.

Be has been beautifully photographed by Nicole England, who, as an architecture photographer, found that the shoots she enjoyed the most were the ones where dogs were present. Upon initially visiting Tonkin Liu to photograph ‘Sun Rain Rooms’ she immediately took to Be and wanted to include her in the Volume 2 version of her book ‘Resident Dog: Incredible Dogs and the International Homes They Live In.’

Nicole photographed Be throughout the property, which serves as as studio and home to architects Mike Tonkin and Anna Liu. You can purchase the book online here which showcases over 25 of the world's most amazing houses, and the dogs that live there.
