Light The Wey Captured on Film

Weymouth Promenade has been rejuvenated through a lighting scheme that celebrates and amplifies the people’s activities and the ever-changing weather with a series of scenes that tell stories about the people and place.

Mounted to existing columns, the seamless LED fittings are visually unobtrusive in daylight whilst coming to life at night and bringing delight to the promenade. Programmed using an astronomical clock, the lights remain on until 11:30pm in the winter and 1am in the summer, cycling through 10 unique scenes that celebrate the elements and activities of Weymouth, with gentle ambient scenes played in-between.
