Davidson Prize 2023: solutions to homelessness
The care cliff: 20,000 care-leavers become homeless each year
We are delighted to announce that we been long-listed for The Davidson Prize 2023 - for the third year running! The annual design ideas competition asks multi-disciplinary teams to submit conceptual solutions to a societal issue. This year's theme, 'Somewhere to Call Home', focuses on new solutions for homelessness, and we have teamed up with Studio Mama, Hildrey Studio, Under One Sky Together, and our local Exmouth Market community. Our concept, titled 'Garden Family', proposes a hyper-local social infrastructure of guardians to protect and nurture care-leavers, providing them with a route to jobs, a sanctuary for exploring what they love and a place to discover what the world needs from them.
