Access to Architecture
We have been delighted to host Diana Morozova as an intern for the month of August, who came through the Kingston University "Access to Architecture" placement programme. She has moved from Ukraine to enrol at Kingston University and is due to finish her third year in 2024. Whilst working with Hannah Lewis on the design of a temple, Diana also modelled a lamp for Christian Rhomberg, Mike Tonkin's client from 30 years ago in Hong Kong who has recently got in touch. We have appreciated all of Diana's hard work, model-making, capability in swiftly learning advanced Rhino, keenness to learn, and spatial imagination.
“I have spent a month having an internship at Tonkin Liu, it was my very first experience working in architectural practice after a few years of university degree. This opportunity proved to me that I definitely selected the right major and want to be an architect. The important thing that I have noticed is that architects in Tonkin Liu pay great attention to how architecture combines with the environment. Most of the buildings look in harmony with nature, and in my opinion, it is a crucial point nowadays,” words by Diana Morozova.
