Connecting to Nature: Tai Trees

As part of this year’s Urban Tree Festival, we have put together a Tai Trees exercise, for anyone and everyone to try next time they are outside, either as you go for a walk, visit your local park, or even in your own garden.

Beauty in nature could be experienced through proportion, symmetry, rhythm, geometry. Taking inspiration from Zhang Zhuang (2690 BC), architects Vitruvius (70 BC) and Le Corbusier (1953), we ask:
Can you establish a visual and physical relationship with a tree?

The Tai Trees exercise invites you to find a correlation between trees and your body, connecting us closer to nature and our direct environment.
